# Bristol Bay Reds at 71 Percent of Forecast

Statewide cumulative salmon harvest stands at **32.3 million fish**, 27 percent of The Run's 119.9 million fish commercial-comparable forecast, per the Blue Sheet. Sockeye (reds) account for 27.3 million of those fish, **62 percent of the 44.1 million fish commercial-comparable sockeye forecast**. Bristol Bay leads the district scoreboard at **71 percent of its 32.26 million fish in-area sockeye forecast**, with 22.9 million sockeye to date.

- **Southeast chum (dogs):** Cumulative 2.25 million fish, up from 1.03 million last week, the largest harvest move by volume on the Blue Sheet this week.
- **Kodiak sockeye:** Harvest fell from 339,000 fish to 5,000 fish week over week. Kodiak sits at under 1 percent of its preseason forecast, furthest behind among reporting districts.
- **Alaska Peninsula:** 4.78 million fish, 42 percent of the 11.3 million fish preseason forecast.
- **Chignik:** 564,000 fish, 34 percent of the 1.64 million fish forecast. Chum reached 84,000 fish from 40,000 last week. Pink reached 42,000 from 21,000.
- **Southeast coho (silvers) and pink (humpies):** Coho at 22,000 fish cumulative, up from 4,000 last week. Southeast pink at 77,000 from 32,000. Prince William Sound pink at 44,000 from 9,000.

The season is in its peak July period for Bristol Bay sockeye, the value engine of the Alaska salmon season.
